Mary Vale D.O.
Mary enjoys treating a wide range of conditions including arthritis, chronic and complex cases, babies and children, pregnant and post-partum mothers.
After qualifying from the British School of Osteopathy in London in 1989, Mary spent a year working as a locum osteopath throughout the UK. She then worked in London, Surbiton and Mitcham, before establishing her own practices, first in South Wimbledon and then in Chessington, Surrey. During this time she did underpaid work with the London Olympians American Football Team and held a supervisory position which involved the clinical education of trainee paediatric osteopaths at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in Harley Street.
In 2003 Mary took a sabbatical in New Zealand, where she treated a diverse range of patients including bee keepers, Maori fishermen and ski instructors before returning to more familiar faces in Hest Bank.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, swimming, walking, rowing and reading.
“I love my job as every person is unique and every case is different. Osteopathy allows me to preform the best treatment possible by treating the patient as an individual”
Katie Collyer M.Ost
Katie is currently on maternity leave, but will be returning to the practice.
Katie was inspired to train as an osteopath whilst working in outdoor education and seeing its benefits amongst rock climbers. Katie graduated with distinction from the British School of Osteopathy in 2016 after which she enjoyed working in practices in London.
She has always had an interest in working with people and recognises the importance of the body in enabling us to enjoy life, whether that’s climbing mountains or just walking in the park. Katie herself has a keen interest in rock climbing and mountaineering.
Katie enjoys treating all ages and has recently completed a two-year diploma in paediatric osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre For Children. Katie works at both the practice in Hest Bank and runs the clinic at Kirkby Lonsdale.
